Wei (Sabrina) Wang

After graduating with a Ph.D. in Law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law in 2007, Wei (Sabrina) Wang got her teaching position and was later promoted to Associate Professor in China. She taught law in various subjects including family law. Sabrina did academic research on topics of family law; her publications include authored books, book chapters, translated chapters and articles. She had been an academic visitor conducting comparative studies in family law at Oxford University from 2013 to 2014.
Sabrina was qualified to practice law in mainland China in 2002. She maintains her Chinese lawyer status affiliated with Kingpound Law Firm. Sabrina is also an arbitrator of the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission in China and a member of the Council in the Marriage and Family Law Association of China Law Society. She is actively involved in public welfare initiatives from the perspective of family law.
Sabrina continued her legal career in Canada when she settled down with her family in Oakville, Ontario, in 2016. She obtained a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University and was called to the Ontario Bar. Sabrina has been practicing primarily in the area of family law. She represents and advises clients on all issues related to family law, including separation and divorce, parenting time and decision-making responsibility, spousal and child support, division of property, and domestic contracts.
Sabrina has strong interests in inter-jurisdictional matters. She has experience in assisting clients to settle cross-border family disputes. In complex litigations, she is a qualified expert in Chinese legal procedure and family law at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Sabrina’s working languages are English and Mandarin.
Sabrina is currently in the process of working towards her family mediation certifications. She is adopting a friendly and pragmatic approach, seeking practical and strategic solutions for her clients. Sabrina believes that family and healthy relationships are values of life. She will cherish the values while navigating her clients’ life transition with her enthusiasm, empathy and skills.
王薇——家庭法律师
王薇曾就读于中国西南政法大学，本硕博连读，取得法学博士学位。王薇毕业后从事法学教育和研究工作，2010年被评为副教授，2013至2014年在英国牛津大学做访问学者。王薇在婚姻家庭法领域出版个人专著一部、合著四部、合译两部，发表学术论文四十余篇。
王薇于2002年取得中国大陆法律职业资格，现为广州金鹏律师事务所执业律师。王薇也是中国广州仲裁委员会仲裁员、中国法学会婚姻家庭法学研究会理事。她热心公益事业，积极参与中国婚姻家庭法的立法和实践活动。
王薇于2016年移居加拿大后继续其在法律领域的探索与实践，获得加拿大Osgoode Hall法学院法律硕士学位，取得安大略省律师资格。王薇专注于婚姻家庭法领域，可以作为出庭律师、事务律师、公证员，为客户提供法律服务。她的主要业务范围是：离婚和分居纠纷、子女抚养与探视安排、配偶扶养费纠纷、子女抚养费纠纷、家庭财产分割纠纷、离婚/分居协议、婚姻/同居协议。
王薇特别擅长处理跨境法律事务，协助客户处理跨境家庭法纠纷。在复杂的家庭法诉讼中，王薇是安省高等法院认可的中国家庭法和程序法专家。她的工作语言是英语和中文普通话。
目前王薇正在研修并将获得家事调解员资质，她秉承友好、务实、灵活的争议解决理念。王薇相信“家和万事兴”，她乐意用自己的热情、同理心和专业技能，帮助客户在家事纠纷中达成最佳解决方案。
